Cynthia Moseley, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in individual, couples and family therapy, and maintains a private practice in Memphis. Tennessee.
With over 20 years experience as a child, adolescent, and family therapist, she is a graduate of the University of Tenessee School of Social Work, specializing in social work treatment/child and family therapy. Mrs. Moseley completed her clinical practicum at the University of Tennessee Dept. of Psychiatry/Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are child and adolescent issues, anxious, fearful, and explosive children, family and couples communication and problem solving, ADHD, and child/adolescent disturbances of mood and behavior. She also works with college age young adults, especially regarding coping skills re: increased independence. She has some limited openings for adults with individual issues, particularly those which impact parenting skills and challenges.
Mrs. Moseley has had advanced training with Ross Greene, PhD and Stuart Ablon,PhD in the Collaborative Problem Solving model, first articulated in Dr. Ross Greene's book , The Explosive Child. (See resources page.) She also has extensive background in family therapy and play therapy within a systems and developmental bio-psycho-social model. Her current approach is also informed by cognitive behavioral therapy with cognitive (thinking) skill building as a key goal in the problem solving process.
